“RENCONTRES MUSICALES”:
The programme
The festival will take place from Tuesday 28 April 2026 to Sunday 3 May 2026.
The programme
The week of Rencontres Musicales is structured around rehearsals, interpretative seminars, and concerts. The festival opens on Monday, 27 April, with a press conference; from that afternoon onwards, musicians begin the artistic preparation that will continue throughout the week.
During the first few days, seminars led by guest professors—open to the public—will take place. In these sessions, the Maestros will listen to young musicians, supported by selected students chosen by the artistic direction, and, together with the audience, explore the technical and interpretative aspects of the proposed repertoire following a thematic approach.
These seminars go beyond the format of individual lessons, becoming a dynamic shared experience in which the compositional ideas and interpretative choices within the scores are revealed. They offer an opportunity for listening and understanding suited to both newcomers and experienced listeners alike. A final musical presentation, open to the public, will introduce the weekend concerts.
On Wednesday evening, a dress rehearsal open to the public will take place, during which the Maestros and young soloists share their work in an informal setting.
The week concludes with concerts on Friday, 1 May, Saturday, 2 May, and Sunday, 3 May, conceived as moments of active participation and shared enjoyment within a cultural project aimed at promoting the city and its surrounding area.
The programme is subject to change at the discretion of the organisers, based on technical and artistic considerations.
