The Rencontres Musicales festival stems from a strong sense of responsibility towards the community in which it operates. Why was it created?
The international chamber music festival Rencontres Musicales was conceived by Maestro Paolo Tagliamento, an internationally renowned violinist, with the aim of creating a musical workshop of the highest artistic and educational standard in Conegliano—an event destined to become a key reference point on the international music scene.
The first edition will feature distinguished masters alongside outstanding young international talents. Experiencing exceptional music in unique, history-rich venues such as those our city offers creates emotions that endure over time, enriching and enhancing our lives.
The festival is inspired by Maestro Paolo Tagliamento’s friendships and musical collaborations with leading professors and accomplished young artists.
How does it work?
The festival takes the form of a week of chamber music sessions, during which distinguished masters and international professors collaborate with some of the finest young musicians on today’s international scene, sharing their knowledge through rehearsals and concerts in a musical exchange of the highest calibre.
In addition to rehearsals and concerts, seminars on advanced musical interpretation will be open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to observe and gain insight into the interpretative process behind great chamber music works, in the very venues dedicated to them.
Students from music institutions, academies, and conservatoires, as well as enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and the wider public, will have the opportunity to attend seminars, rehearsals, and concerts. At the same time, the festival provides an occasion for musicians to share and enrich their experience, renewing and celebrating the musical journey together.
